IRISH and How They Got That Way

The show has opened at Irish Rep to rave reviews and standing audiences. It looks like another extended run.

School year starts soon, as do new and unknown projects in the Fall

Sophisticated Ladies

After rehearsing and prepping the show for the last month, the New York City Schools Tour of "Sophisticated Ladies" is out in the schools. My cast of three with accompaniment has already played to schools in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.

The kids are responding to the show with great enthusiasm and everybody seems to be pleased.

End of Year Top 10 lists

Emperor Jones has made NY Times Top 10 lists by both of their top critics~ Brantley and Isherwood~ and continues its run at SoHo Playhouse. Ernest in Love has received great reviews and provided much delight to packed houses at Irish Rep.
JK Divorce Dance video was named #2 viral video and #1 comedy viral video by Yahoo.com. It also appeared on some of the year end entertainment shows in quick blips as a phenomenon of the year.
And now I am onto "Sophisticated Ladies" to begin in Feb and casting a week from now.

"Ernest in Love" starts previews

We have finished rehearsals for "Ernest in Love" and the cast is coming together in a wonderfully stylish way. We Open next Sunday Dec 20 and then settle in for a little winter run. Catch this one if you like wit and style. www.irishrep.org

Emperor Jones Transferring

We finished teching "Jones" in its new temporary home at the SoHo Playhouse on VanDam Street down in SoHo. Couldn't get everybody into Rep run, but this gives those a chance to catch it in the next 6 weeks. First Night is Tuesday Dec 15.

Ernest in Love rehearsals become very enjoyable as music takes on a quality unexpected~ can't wait to hear the all string arrangements, and the cast is going to be wonderful. And when you start with Wilde you truly have a solid base. We start previews week of December 11.

WE Opened Emperor Jones last nite. I have only read one review, but it was one I liked.

Getting ready to start on "Love, Ernest"~ musical version of "Importance of Being Earnest" in a few weeks with Charlotte Moore at Irish Rep.
My production of "It's a Wonderful Life" at Prince Music Theatre received one Barrymore Award for featured actor~ Jered McLenigan.
